Dress #091: 1930s dress in bronze and green Elephant Japanese chiyogami paper in goldThis hand stitched dress is based on a gown created by Augustabernard for Spring 1934. The original dress features brown silk charmeuse and is cut on the bias, like many dresses from the 1930s, creating a form fitting columnar silhouette. Bright green velvet wraps the shoulders, coming together in an oversized bow at the front of the dress. I made my bow from nine little pieces of pieces, layered atop one another. The original dress is held by the
